Miesha Tate Nude In 2013 ESPN Body Issue, Says It Empowers Women

The 2013 ESPN Body Issue may feature Miesha Tate nude again and the famous fighter featured in UFC 168 Rousey VS Tate even says such acts empower women.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , a skin cancer charity also featured Ronda Rousey nude , so it seems the two competitors are trying to out-naked each other.

And it’s not like we haven’t seen Ronda Rousey naked before. She was featured in the 2012 ESPN Body Issue along with Meisha Tate . And that rivalry even entangled the topic of nude modeling with UFC 168:

“Miesha has a nice ass and an ongoing rivalry with me, and that’s the only reason she was picked for this fight.”

To a certain that might be true. UFC 168 was originally scheduled to have Cat Zingano as Ronda’s opponent. But Tate jabs right back, saying Rousey doesn’t deserve her fame :

“Every single woman that fights MMA has done just as much work as Ronda has, we just haven’t gotten as much turnaround. Those women who came before her haven’t been on magazine covers, they weren’t plastered everywhere by the UFC. They didn’t get the same reward back. She got 10 times back what she was putting in and maybe everyone else was getting 1 to 1.”

In any case, Miesha says she’s driven crazy by women using their bodies to go after the men. She describes remembering girls who were “very scantily dressed” and wouldn’t focus on practice and instead wanted the guys’ attention. This behavior drove her crazy and she wished women wouldn’t disrespect themselves, and other women working hard at bettering themselves, by having their “boobs falling out of [their] shirts and having [their] shorts so short that it leaves nothing to the imagination.”

At this point some might ask how ESPN featuring Miesha Tate naked for their Body Issue doesn’t contradict this statement. For Miesha, it’s all in how the photo is framed:

“It’s not my goal to go out there and say, ‘Hey, I’m sexy, look at me, I can fight.’ I’ve always been feminine. I’ve always been proud of being a strong and empowered woman, and I don’t see anything wrong with embracing that. It just has to be tastefully done.”

Do you agree with Miesha Tate that nude modelling can be tastefully done? Or do you think it sets a bad standard for women?
