Despite what I used to think about blenders, not all of them are the same and in reality, there are some that completely standout from the crowd and the Blendtec Designer Wildside is one of them.
Blendtec has long been known for its high-end blenders which have been able to blend practically any item known to man without any trouble making smoothies a piece of cake.
The Designer Wildside is one of the latest blenders from Blendtec and it carries on the brand’s reputation. With up to three horsepower of blending power available, it takes just a matter of seconds to make a smoothie with ice and various other substances but since this is also a $400 blender, you can easily use it in a commercial setting as well.
As great as the blender is in almost all scenarios, it does run into trouble (much like any other blender) when it is used to blend something that is very thick. Although the Designer Wildside will usually go through thick substances, it sometimes gets stuck if there is simply too much to blend through which means that you need to be careful about what you try to put into the machine.
Blendtec and Vitamix have continued to be fierce competitors in the blender industry and have always tried to one-up each other. The Designer Wildside is definitely one of Blendtec’s best blenders to compete in the market and take down some of Vitamix’s products.
Performance is always the most important aspect of any blender but design is also important which is something that Blendtec realized with the Designer Wildside. Most of Blendtec’s products look nice but the Wildside is a particularly well built and stylish blender.
Cleaning the Wildside is also incredibly easy which is one thing that I cannot say about all blenders (even some that are more expensive.) Blendtec designed this machine so that there would only be two removable parts that would require cleaning, the top and the blending jar.
There are a plethora of touch controls of the blender making it easy to either blend up a smoothie, make a meal, or manually control the blender with various speeds.
Without a doubt, the $400 price tag carried with the Designer Wildside makes it a hard sell for some consumers but for people that are looking for the absolute best, the Wildside may very well be one of the best consumer-level blenders available.
