Vince McMahon Visits US Troops For WWE RAW’s ‘Tribute To The Troops’

Vince McMahon recently visited US troops overseas for a WWE Raw special called Tribute To The Troops.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the WWE Divas almost had a real life (maybe?) fight when AJ Lee blew up on Michelle Beadle after CM punk was casually insulted as a sort of “hello” by the reporter.

WWE RAW hosts an annual Tribute To The Troops show. For example, back in 2011 Kofi Kingston, The Bellas and V ince McMahon visited the US military’s brave men and women serving in Afghanistan . This year the show will air on Saturday, December 28 at 8/7 Central time and will focus on US troops in Dubai.:

“WWE Tribute to the Troops is considered the most patriotic show on television. In the grand tradition of Bob Hope, WWE has been entertaining American military personnel both overseas and in the U.S. for more than a decade. In recognition of these efforts, WWE received the first-ever Legacy of Hope Award, named after Bob Hope, in 2004. This year, the holiday tradition will be hosted by Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle and will include special messages from some of the biggest names in Hollywood such as Will Ferrell, Bruce Willis, Ryan Seacrest, Christina Applegate and Stephen Colbert. Additionally, comedian Jeff Dunham will perform live for troops and their families.”

CEO Vince McMahan is apparently not a big fan of President Obama so he had the RAW announcers discussing Obama’s “selfies” controversy right before announcing Tribute To The Troops. The infamous pictured Obama goofing off with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s funeral. Needless to say, Michelle Obama did not look pleased…

So Vince McMahon and the rest of the crew touched down in Dubai on December 19. Besides visiting with the troops, and hosting some wrestling matches, they’re also visiting hospitals in the area. They’ve apparently gathered over two hours of film but they’re going to jam pack it into an one hour special.

And Vince explained why they continue to do this tribute:

“Tribute to the Troops is WWE’s way of thanking those who have sacrificed so much for our country as well as those who continue to defend our freedom today. We are proud to continue this annual tradition with our partners at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Governor Inslee.”

What do you think about Vince McMahon continuing to honor our troops in this fashion?
