Tim Tebow Dissed In News By NFL Referee, Used As Example Of Uncatchable Rule

The latest Tim Tebow news is not so favorable to the former NFL QB, with referee Jim Daopoulus saying Tebow is a perfect example of the uncatchable rule.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Tim Tebow was also dissed by the St. Louis Rams when they called Brett Favre, who is suffering the ill effects of a long NFL career .

Fans might be wondering, where is Tim Tebow ? He’s been spotted in Hawaii vacationing with his sister and Tim Tebow sightings are now actually being sought after by the paparazzi.

Jacksonville fans desperately want Tebow on the Jaguars , and he’s even opening a restaurant in the city, but that’s apparently not where he’s been hiding. One lucky fan met with Tebow in Los Angeles as part of a Dreams Come True campaign. Unfortunately, the boy is suffering from cystic fibrosis, a disease that causes severe lung damage.

It seems that Tim Tebow’s charity works and Christian missionary trips have become his focus while he’s away from the NFL. (Some people even believed Tim Tebow was blackballed from the NFL due to being too open with his Christian beliefs .) The Tim Tebow Foundation has been helping relief efforts in the Philippines after the recent typhoon devastated the nation. And if you look at the Tim Tebow news page on their website it seems charitable efforts like these are keeping him plenty busy.

But NFL referee Jim Daopoulus wasn’t so charitable to Tebow after a game between the Panthers and Patriots. The insult came up when describing a supposedly underthrown ball where the Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski couldn’t have caught the football even if he hadn’t been stopped by a Panthers linebacker:

“We as officials have always been taught, for a ball to be uncatchable, it has to be clearly out of the field of play or it has to be a kind of — I probably shouldn’t say this — a Tim Tebow-type pass that lands 15 yards in front of you.”

Ouch. Burn… But if you look at the Tim Tebow stats such a slight doesn’t seem that justified.

After all, if making baby Jesus cry is bad, then making Tim Tebow cry is probably up there somewhere. What do you think?
