The saga continued for Chris Brown today as he was ordered to rehab for anger management for a total of 90 days. Brown and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, reported to court for a quick follow-up to his domestic case with Rihanna. However, the probation department apparently notified the judge that Brown had another incident while seeking treatment in the Malibu center.
According to TMZ , it was explained that Chris Brown flew into “a violent rage” while attending rehab and was thrown out of the facility. When we first reported the news that Brown had left the facility, it was believed that Chris Brown left on his own volition, but not so, and now he’s landed himself in a 90-day treatment program.
The judge ordered that the 90-day rehab program needs to be located in the L.A. County, and also needs to be approved by his probation. Though, interestingly enough, Brown will be allowed to fly back to D.C. in order for him to deal with his court hearing for his D.C. case that led to his initial agreement for attending rehab.
As we reported, Brown’s altercation happened in Washington after he was photobombed while taking a picture with a fan. The unidentified man jumped into the picture, which resulted in Brown punching him in the face and throwing a homophobic slur at the man. Currently it’s said that Chris Brown is suing the man for defamation of character.
Before Chris Brown was kicked out of the Malibu rehab center, his rep made a statement on his current goals:
“His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”
Looks like Chris Brown will be able to work on those goals from an L.A. facility. Let’s hope he doesn’t get kicked out of this one, too.
