Selena Gomez is done talking about Justin Bieber and his friend Miley Cyrus. This could be a difficult feat with all of the tabloids around, but she appears to be sticking to it.
A majority of the reason Gomez rose to fame was because she had been dating megastar Justin Bieber, and the media might not let her forget it. However, since appearing in her share of films, Selena Gomez looks like she’s doing just fine without the “Biebs.” Yes, it hurt when she broke up with the megastar, as previously reported by The Inquisitr , but she says it’s only natural when you actually fall in love.
Apparently, Gomez looks like she’s attempting to keep her love life healthy in spite of Hollywood. She isn’t acting like Jennifer Aniston allegedly did after Brad Pitt, ruminating on the past over and over, possibly hoping to get him back.
When Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus rose to fame on the wings of scandal at around the same time, it seems they became good friends as a result. Between alleged use of marijuana and public antics, the two seemed destined to be friends.
Selena Gomez is making it clear that the two are off limits for further discussion as far as she’s concerned, as one reporter revealed, “Immediately prior to interviewing US singer and actor Selena Gomez in her dressing room in Florida comes the warning: ‘ You know you can’t ask about Justin or Miley ‘.”

This mirrors what happened last Summer when an interview with Gomez ended abruptly as the subject of Justin Bieber came up. Initially intending to help promote her new Stars Dance album, reporter Dean Richards asked her on the phone, “You’re, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come. Is there something about him that we don’t get or we don’t understand. I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behavior that we’re reading about.”
At that point Selena Gomez simply hung up. It’s understandable that the 21-year-old actress and singer isn’t living in the past, and that’s actually a very healthy way to handle it. In fact, she’s avoiding the dating scene altogether, as she told radio host Zach Sang :
“Do you know I’ve been asked out on one date, that’s it. I’ll say what I said to that boy. I said, ‘Thank you very much, but I’m not in the place where I want to date right now.’ … I’m very content with how I’ve been living my life and you know if that comes that comes, but I’m enjoying being single. I don’t believe that because all that stuff just feeds people’s minds, saying, ‘You’ll be fine, you just need to make sure you spend this time doing this, and x amount of time will allow you to do this.’ If you fall in love, you fall in love. If you don’t you don’t.”
Selena Gomez has made it very clear that Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are off limits for topics of conversation, and she’s in no hurry to be in a relationship again.
