Sheldon Adelson Says The US Should Drop Nuclear Bomb On Iran

American billionaire Sheldon Adelson , who spent millions trying to unseat President Obama, is suggesting the US should drop a nuclear bomb on Iran as a warning.

The controversial comments were made during a panel at Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening. Adelson said the US should make demands from a position of strength and not negotiate with Iran, according to The Jerusalem Post .

Sheldon Adelson not only lost large sums of money during the 2012 Presidential campaign supporting Mitt Romney, he is one of the biggest donors to organizations that want to impose sanctions on the Western Asian nation.

The following is the scenario, which according to Adelson, should replace diplomacy:

“What are we going to negotiate about? I would say ‘Listen, you see that desert out there, I want to show you something.’…You pick up your cell phone and you call somewhere in Nebraska and you say, ‘OK let it go.’ And so there’s an atomic weapon, goes over ballistic missiles, the middle of the desert, that doesn’t hurt a soul. Maybe a couple of rattlesnakes, and scorpions, or whatever. Then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development. You want to be peaceful? Just reverse it all, and we will guarantee you that you can have a nuclear power plant for electricity purposes, energy purposes.’ “

Adelson went on to say that the only thing Iran understands is a demonstration of strength and he believes negotiating with the terrorist state is a sign of weakness.

The billionaire blasted the Obama administration for trying to engage in diplomacy with the Iranian regime, calling it “the worst negotiating tactic I could ever imagine, my entire life.”

He rideculed the attempts by the White House to lessen the sanctions on Iran if the country rolls back the nuclear program: “So, roll it all back (…) and we’ll roll back the sanctions(…). What is that, a game of chicken, who’s going to blink first?”

Sheldon Adelson has reportedly donated over $1.5 million to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies , a nonpartisan think tank focusing on national security and foreign policy, which has been pushing for immediate and stiffer sanctions on Iran.
