With less than a week to go until WrestleMania 32 , word has started spreading around the internet about the event being cancelled. WWE has apparently had to cancel the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year due to a number of serious allegations, and it has upset everyone within the company and around the world. Well, that would be the case if this were true, but it isn’t, as it is simply another internet hoax making the rounds.
An article is making the rounds of social media, and it is with just five days until the big Pay-Per-View in Dallas, where a huge card is set and in place. The thing is, the article is not only from three years ago, but it also states a very legitimate (?) reason for Wrestlemania 32 being cancelled — match-fixing.
Yes, it appears as if many believe a professional wrestling event is being cancelled due to the match outcomes being predetermined.
Kayfabe News is the creator of the article, and it is still getting a lot of attention even though it was written back on March 24, 2013. Yes, it was written three years ago, and the joke is still alive now, as all they have to do is change up the main image.
The article states that WWE has refused to address the issue of match-fixing and that the company cancelled WrestleMania 32 due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
It’s quite humorous, honestly, and any true wrestling fan can see the laughs that are to be had in an article like this. Unfortunately though, a number of people on social media are sharing the article and voicing their displeasure at WWE for cancelling something they were so looking forward to.
Others can appreciate it for the joke it is while some just don’t quite get it.
@Kevin_Pableo wait, seryoso?????

The world of social media loves to pass around information and news and articles, but those who do it aren’t always reading first. Many have believed that Willie Nelson has died on a number of occasions. Others thought Mark Zuckerberg would really give them millions of dollars for sharing a status.
Doing a little more reading or even just checking the date of the article would help them in knowing the truth before sharing. Still, it can be all in good fun at times, and that is what Kayfabe News is all about: poking fun at WWE and the wrestling world.
You can tell that by just reading their “About” page , which details what their site is about.
Kayfabe News delivers fair, balanced and honest wrestling journalism in much the same way that World Wrestling Entertainment delivers fair, balanced and honest athletic competition. That is, not at all.
This makes a lot of sense, as many have criticized WWE for some of their storylines and disappointing the fans that watch their product. Others think that the product has improved over the years, but it works for Kayfabe News, which keeps on pouring out the fake and funny stories.
Wrestling legend and WWE icon Mick Foley has even called the site “The Onion for wrestling fans.” If there is anyone that can appreciate good humor, it is Mick Foley.
Kayfabe News goes on in their “About” section to state that every single article they put forth is complete satire. That’s what makes this piece about WrestleMania 32 being cancelled so funny and something to share with everyone.
In the finer print of the “leaked documents” from WWE headquarters, the report claims something is printed very small on the tickets — “No refunds.”
Some may think that this is very serious and that WrestleMania 32 has indeed been truly cancelled and won’t happen in Dallas this weekend. Well, that is very untrue, and it is just a joke. The full and final card for WrestleMania 32 is in place and is as follows:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
- Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
- No Holds Barred Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
- Hell in a Cell: Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker
- 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- The Dudley Boyz vs. The Usos
- Battle for Tag Team Supremacy : The New Day (c) vs. League of Nations
- United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
- Intercontinental Title Ladder Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. Stardust vs. The Miz vs. Sin Cara
- AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho
- The Total Divas vs. Team B.A.D. & Blonde
WrestleMania 32 is not cancelled just, as the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year wasn’t cancelled in 2013, 2014, or 2015 either. The lost art of Kayfabe is also there for those that fail to realize or read everything in front of them on the internet. The granddaddy of them all will take place in Dallas on Sunday, and this rumor will officially die. Well, until next year for WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
