Does Bill Clinton Have Parkinson’s Disease? Former President’s Hands Seen Trembling During Iowa Speech [Video]

After Bill Clinton’s campaign stop for wife Hillary in Iowa, people weren’t talking about his speech, but rather his shaky hands. During the speech alongside his pregnant daughter Chelsea, Clinton’s hands appeared to tremble while he spoke. This has led many to wonder if the former president could be suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

The Daily Mail reports that many Clinton supporters were looking at Bill’s hands instead of his face during his recent speech at an Iowa rally for Hillary. The former president stood alongside his daughter Chelsea Clinton as the pair praised Hillary Clinton for her comments regarding 9/11 noting that she was not trying to “play the 9/11 card” but rather was pointing out that she viewed the people devastated by 9/11 “as people, not categories.” However, the former president’s speech was somewhat unnoticed as many people turned their eyes to his trembling hands.

In the video above you can see that Clinton’s left hand appears to shake as he attempts to hold it steady. Shakes and trembling of the hands can be early symptoms of Parkinson’s Diseases; therefore, many began to question if Clinton was hiding a Parkinson’s diagnosis from the public. However, this isn’t the first time the issue has been brought up. In fact, back in 2013, people began noticing the tremor so Clinton publicly addressed the situation.

In a Huffington Post interview, Bill Clinton responded to concerns that he was suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. The former president said he had “a little tremor” in his hand that he has been dealing with over the years and that it is nothing of concern. He says that he has seen a doctor for the shaking, but he was assured he is not suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. Clinton notes that he was tested for the disease and the results came back negative.

“The first time it happened, I had to go get myself checked to make sure I didn’t have Parkinson’s [disease].”

After learning that his tremor was not Parkinson’s, Clinton said he didn’t mind the shake and that it is just something that happens with “old age.”

“I have a condition that sometimes you get with aging. You may have noticed it; my hand has a little tremor when I’m tired and a lot of people do when they’re older.”

With Bill Clinton noting that his trembling has been checked out by doctors, the former president seems like he is currently in the clear for Parkinson’s Disease. With the tremor questions out of the way, Clinton supporters can focus on the words spoken by Bill regarding Hillary’s run at the presidency. During his speech, Bill noted that on 9/11 Hillary stepped up to the plate to help secure funds for those devastated in the attack.

“When New York was devastated by 9/11, she [Hillary Clinton] asked President Bush to commit $20 billion. A lot of people in his party didn’t want to do it, he said I’ll do it and they worked together until they got every last penny, and we needed it. I noticed she was criticized in one of those debates, you may remember this, for mentioning it saying, ‘Oh, she’s playing the 9/11 card.’ She wasn’t. She was making a point that the people who were devastated on 9/11 were people to her, not categories.”

Meanwhile, Clinton’s daughter Chelsea also took center-state to show support for her mother. However, she apologized to those in attendance as she took a seat noting “I’m going to sit because I am pregnant.”
