Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 6 will become available only on Netflix and will feature the so-called “The Lost Mission.”
In a related report by The Inquisitr , Star Wars fans will probably be excited to hear that, in addition to Stars Wars Episode 7 , Disney is considering make a standalone Boba Fett movie . There’s also the potential for a Han Solo movie but nothing has been confirmed about those rumors.
Beginning on March 7, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 6 along with all the previous episodes will begin airing on Netflix. There will also be several director’s cuts for earlier episodes and the Clone Wars feature film will be available for streaming, as well. The Lost Missions, or The Lost Season , will be comprised of 13 episodes focusing on Master Yoda and a rift in the force caused by Ahsoka Tano leaving the Jedi Order.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars was cancelled for Cartoon network last year because the Disney Channel was going to be airing Star Wars: Rebels on their own network. A Sith villain named the Inquisitor (what did we do to get on Disney’s hit list?) is tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down the remaining Jedi Knights, including Kanan, a survivor who stops using his lightsaber out of fear of being discovered. There will also be a new droid called Chopper that will be a regular on the show.
Executive producer Dave Filoni says Star Wars: Rebels will differ from Star Wars: The Clone Wars in one critical way:
“‘Rebels’ will be different from ‘The Clone Wars’ in a couple ways, and one is the decision to stick with one story and one main group of characters. We wanted fans to get to know the new characters and what they are fighting for. Each episode has its own unique story, while still fitting into the much larger picture of what is going on in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. ‘Rebels’ will tell the story of a group of characters, in this way it is more like the original trilogy which followed Han, Luke and Leia, where the prequels showed us the grand scale and political as well as personal.”
