Justin Bieber heads uptempo once more on his new single “ Confident ,” collaborating with Chance The Rapper to close out his #MusicMondays series with a stomping song that winks.

The track was released at midnight on Sunday, December 9.

As heard on teasers for Confident this past week, the 19-year-old star and Spin’s 2013 Rapper of the Year reel off various sultry reasons why the Biebs is fascinated by a girl.

Over a bouncy, reggae beat with eastern-evoking instrumentation, Justin gets salty in the second verse as he sings,

“She said it’s her first time, I think she might of lied / Feels so good damn and I don’t know why / I’m addicted, something like a headache / Got me twisted, but still I gotta have it (sic).”

In a catchy bridge, Bieber continues, “Then she started dancing, sexual romancing / Nasty but she fancy, Mona Lisa masterpiece (sic),” before a pop-inflected chorus hook:

“Oh no no, oh no no / She’s confident / Oh no no, oh no no / And I’m down with it / Oh no no, oh no no / She’s confident / You could tell by the way she walks in the room.”

Chicago native Chance delivers lines describing a girl’s, “Tattoos, piercings and she just learned to twerk… cause her a** on a learning curve (sic),” in his brief but lively rap.

Confident is an affirmative end to 10 weeks of predominantly somber slow jams themed around a an implosion or aftermath of an intimate relationship (believed to refer to Bieber’s ended courtship of Selena Gomez), and the wrap of his 15-month Believe tour odyssey this weekend in Australia.

Recent talk of the teen’s impending collaborations with Chance, rappers Lil Wayne (also known as Lil Tunechi) Big Sean, Diplo, and PYD partner R. Kelly, indicates more chart assaults from Camp Bieber before the Christmas debut of his Believe movie-documentary — in reality, what the profile raising #MusicMondays is promoting.

Earlier on Sunday, Justin’s manager Scooter Braun casually unloaded big news when he tweeted a random user, writing,

So, a Bieber set titled “Journals” dropping on December 16, is that the scoop?

There’s more. On iTunes, the singer offered a self-explanatory note about his new single (“I love a confident woman”), also revealing that a video is “coming soon” ahead of it going to radio.
