Miley Cyrus is the topic of many a tongue-waggler these days; this is nothing new. What is new is the source and the style of Miley Cyrus’s latest challenge.
Dolly Parton is rapping about Miley Cyrus .
No, seriously.
In a clip filmed for The Queen Latifah Show , the 60-something country legend playfully pokes at Miley Cyrus, her goddaughter. The video, set to air Monday, Oct. 21, shows the amply-endowed Parton saying “Hey Miley, I’ve got your wrecking balls right here.”
Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one getting barbed by Dolly’s bosom. She took aim at her host as well, saying “I know the Queen has got ’em too but she don’t work ’em like I do.”
It’s all in good fun, but, given her propensity to respond, we wonder how Miley Cyrus react. After all, Miley likes to shoot back.
In a not-so-thinly-veiled response to one of her former dancers , Miley Cyrus had a very simple retort: #aslongasmyb****esloveme.
The photo shows Cyrus hanging out backstage with her dancers and Miley dutifully braiding hair. It’s obviously the Official Miley Cyrus Response to Hollis Jane, who’d gone public after the now-infamous VMA performance, saying Miley Cyrus made her feel “ degraded” and “less than human .” Jane contends that Miley treats little people like props, but Cyrus chillin’ with her girls, also little people, suggests otherwise.
Of course, not everyone has it out for Miley Cyrus. She counts Sir Paul McCartney among her supporters.
“I watched it as an experiment to check, but you look at it and you say ‘what’s everyone shouting about?” McCartney said about Miley Cyrus’s video for “Wrecking Ball.”
“I think it was only mildly shocking… it wasn’t explicit at all.
Recently, Miley Cyrus was bumped from the top of the UK singles and album charts. OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” unseated Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” while John Newman’s Tribute and four other newcomers knocked Cyrus’s Bangerz from the top 5.
