Rapper DMX was in serious conditions on Monday night following a suspected overdose. According to TMZ , the rapper was found unconscious and without a pulse.
It was first suspected that DMX had an asthma attack, but the outlet stated that going by DMX’s signs, he was “knocking on death’s door” due to a possible overdose.
DMX was found when Yonkers police responded to a call made on behalf of the rapper. At the time, he was staying at the Ramada Inn, and the call was placed around 6 p.m. The rapper was on the ground in a parking lot, right next to a parked car. When police showed up, they noted that the rapper was lifeless and started to administer CPR, as DMX was not breathing on his own.

Fortunately, DMX ‘s pulse came back after a minute of CPR. A witness on the scene told authorities that DMX collapsed shortly after the rapper digested a powder. With that information, police gave him Narcan, which is something authorities give people who OD. When DMX was given the drug, he came to and was then taken to the hospital to be treated.
DMX is believed to be in stable condition after his hospital stay.
In a statement to the New York Daily News , Lt. Patrick McCormack said, “This was an excellent job by the officers and they definitely saved the life. They found him in a lifeless condition with no breathing. They were able to bring back some breathing.”

This isn’t the first time DMX’s life has taken a turn for the worse. As documented on Dr. Phil , DMX opened up about his past with drugs. He said that he was introduced to drugs at 8-years-old. At the time, a family member had given him marijuana, and by the time the rapper was 14-years-old, he smoked a joint laced with cocaine, which he had found out about later. That’s when his addiction began.
Although he was addicted at 14-years-old, DMX told Dr. Phil that he wasn’t aware that he had a problem until he was 19 or 20.
“That’s when it started. It was something that drew me in, and trapped me, and just had a hold on me for a long, long time. I’m always going to be an addict. I’m going to be an addict until I die. It doesn’t mean I have to get high.”
At the time of the interview, DMX, who has been arrested several times over the years, was clean. He said that his highest of highs is when he’s on stage.
“Being onstage is, like, the best hour, hour-and-a-half that I get. Best feeling in the world — being onstage.”
DMX continued , “It took me a long time to get there, but yes, now I do love myself. Blaming myself for a lot of things that I had no control over; accepting responsibility for the things that I do have control over, and being willing to make adjustments.”
As the Inquisitr reported , DMX’s last brush with the law dates back to October of last year. The rapper was arrested after he failed to pay an estimated $10,000 a month in child support for his four children by ex-wife Tashera Simmons.
Citing his live shows as the only way he makes a living, he alluded to the judge in Westchester that he had fallen on hard times. Prior to that, the rapper was arrested at Radio City Music Hall on various warrants, including an outstanding bill of $400,000 in child support that he hadn’t paid.
