London Fashion Week: The Stars Come Out And The Designs Deserve The Spotlight

London is known as a metropolis that pushes the boundaries when it comes to fashion. The trends are unique and generally make their way around the globe from this bustling city that houses some of the world’s most notable structures, people, and historical relevance.

As Vanity Fair reminds, the city has always brought us edgy and boundary-pushing style .

“London is synonymous with rebellion—both historically and also culturally (and don’t forget that Americans are essentially anarchists, many of whom came from London). This is the land that gave us punk, people!”

London Fashion Week is in full swing, and it is always amazing to catch a glimpse at the fashions that not only make their way onto the runway but additionally are sitting front row for the shows. Notable celebrities and figures of the fashion world have come out to show off their very own style aesthetic in honor of catching the reveals from designers for the Spring/Summer 2017 season.

Editor-in-chief for Vogue , Anna Wintour, has not disappointed in her choice of ensembles for each show she has sat front and center for. The respected figure in the fashion world has kept her looks of a similar palette, mixing shades of the hot pumpkin color of the season with neutrals and a few pops of pink. Although mostly neutral colors have been worn by Wintour, the style icon has brought a bit of unique interest by mixing patterns.

British pop star Ellie Goulding has not been in the press much of late. The talented beauty likely had enough tabloid spotlight when she was rumored to be enjoying a romance with royalty. That’s right, there was speculation that Ellie and Prince Harry were an item earlier in the year. This all, of course, turned out to be rubbish, and the rumors have been put to rest. Ellie has, however, come out to take part in London Fashion Week. Goulding was spotted in a flowing off the shoulder, vibrantly printed dress and paired the bohemian look with a dark choker and black ankle boots for a more edgy appeal.

Olivia Palermo is always a girl about town, no matter which city she is present in. The socialite-turned fashionista has no problem drawing an audience when she arrives at an event or simply makes her way down the streets of New York or London. The beauty who has recently been named the ambassador for Banana Republic arrived in London Fashion Week shows in a chic ensemble including a sheer blouse under a gray high-necked vest, paired with wide-leg trousers. The trousers and base of the vest had a pop of fiery red for extra pizzazz.

The looks have been even more fierce and fiery on the runway, as expected at London Fashion Week. David Ferreira brought the heat with his artistic blend of sheer body suits, elaborate feathered dresses in colorful hues and styling which involved blunt bobs to unify the models in the show. His collection for Spring/Summer 2017 is fabulous and wild with intricacies of structure, color, and texture.

Additionally, Sid Neigum reminded why he’s a master of the runway by revealing a collection more subtle than Ferreira, yet just as striking with a lasting impact which will see droves eager to snatch up his designs when the pieces become available. A palette of stark whites, fiery reds, and embellished noir pieces made up his collection with silhouettes ranging from form-fitting to stylishly loose. Accessories included flat shoe wear, which cut down on model wobbles, and relaxed makeup as well as hair styling.

Aside from these notable designers , others had similarities in trends including khaki shades, puffed sleeves and gingham check prints, as Fashionista shares.

There is still much more to come from the best of the best in designer fashion and likely more celebrities ready to show off their personal style at the occasion. London Fashion Week never disappoints.
