An entertainment bombshell was dropped thanks to this tweet.
It’s go time, Marvelites: Tweet using #AvengersAssemble to unite & unlock an epic new #Avengers #AgeOfUltron Trailer! http://t.co/01G5TtzsLF

The message was read loud and clear. Soon #AvengersAssemble trended worldwide at a rate of approximately 8,100 tweets per minute before the third and final trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron was revealed on YouTube courtesy of Marvel Entertainment. James Spader’s pious monologue to start sets the tone immediately.
“There’s only one path to peace. Their extinction.”
The “their” in this case is the human race, and once again we get the tried-and-true, if not tiresome, narrative of some evil person or entity trying to wipe away the existence of mankind. Forgiving the stale concept, let’s instead marvel (no pun intended) at what is revealed.
First off, Ultron is a villain I can rally behind. Maybe it’s because of James Spader and the hit NBC show The Blacklist . As Ultron, Spader’s cool factor moves up a few notches. Which is pretty impressive, because all he is is the voice of sentient android.
Judging from the third trailer to The Avengers: Age of Ultron , Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey, Jr.) successful privatizing of world peace, which failed miserably for those who remember Iron Man 2 , is again threatened with the advent of Ultron. And what was to be a way to shield the world becomes something sinister instead.
Small snippets give an indication that the Avengers sequel sets into motion new quarrels in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Seeds will be planted of what is to continue in the third Captain America adventure, Captain America: Civil War , where Stark and Steve “Cap” Rogers (Chris Evans) engage in a civil and obedient discussion (yeah, right) on what it means to be a hero.
Hulk and Black Widow, a power couple?
That’s right. Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) could be super friends with benefits if we are to believe our eyes around the 1:02 mark.
Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) look to do to the Avengers what Thor’s half-brother Loki tried to do in the first Avengers movie: pit them against one another. Which may explain Iron Man in “Hulk-busting” armor tangling with the Hulk.
Hawkeye says nothing (poor Jeremy Renner), Samuel L. Jackson is still intimidating as Nick Fury, and we finally get split-second vision of Vision.
Bravo, Marvel. As if fans of your MCU wasn’t excited enough already.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron kicks off a barrage of summer blockbusters when it opens on May 1.
