Real Housewives of Orange County stars Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers are calling it quits for the second time, the reality TV couple confirm.
A joint statement confirming the couple’s split after four years was published to Vicki’s Facebook page on Sunday.
“After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths.”
The announcement states that although fans may see Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers together as a couple during the rest of Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10, filming for the current season took place from January through May of 2015, when the two apparently were still together.
“Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015. There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time.”
Vicki and Brooks’ relationship has faced intense scrutiny from the Bravo star’s family and friends since the pair began dating in 2011, especially from Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, and best friend Tamra Judge. Although the two broke up in 2013, the couple reunited in 2014 when Ayers learned he had stage 3 cancer. By the fall of 2014, the two were living together in Gunvalson’s Orange County home, reports US Weekly.
So far during Season 10 of the Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers have not run into any problems in their relationship and appear happy, as the other RHOC cast members have become more supportive of the relationship throughout this season. However, fans will see the reality TV couple once again start to face skepticism during Monday night’s episode as some of the couple’s co-stars begin to question Ayers’ cancer battle .
The couple vehemently deny Brooks is faking his cancer diagnosis. As recently as last week, Gunvalson addressed the rumor yet again that Ayers is faking his cancer battle.
@MFcks HE is NOT faking cancer….it’s a fake story that the girls made up. I have lost 3 friends to cancer and my Aunt. It’s a TV show
