Bill Cosby accuser Heidi Thomas is speaking out against the comedian who she alleges raped her in the 1980s. She says Cosby’s stating he can read a drugged person’s mind is “bordering on insane.”
The Colorado woman, who first came forward in February to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault, tells The Denver Post she was a 24-year-old aspiring actress when she was flown to Reno in 1984 to meet Cosby at his request. Hoping to break into showbiz, she had agreed to be mentored by him in a four-day mentoring session. Not long after meeting him, she claims Cosby gave her a glass of wine and she later awoke to find him sexually assaulting her.
“That’s not consensual. That’s drugged. And for anybody to be so narcissistic that they can read the mind of a person who is drugged, that’s bordering on insane.”
After the alleged attack, Heidi Thomas says she stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her, but later apologized to Bill Cosby for “being rude.” The Colorado woman says she does not remember too many other details from her four days with the comedian.
Although she saw Cosby again several months later when she visited him backstage at one of his shows in St. Louis, Heidi did not broach the subject with the comedian.
“There’s another thing I wish I could explain. [The] closest thing I can say here is I just wanted to make this right… I’m still not thinking I’ve been abused. I’m thinking this is all my fault.”
Heidi Thomas, 55, now a music teacher, says she is on a mission to bring to light what she feels is an “all-too-common dirty part of the Hollywood experience.” She speaks to young people about how to avoid finding themselves in the same situation as she faced decades ago.
The Colorado woman is just one in a growing list of women who has lodged drugging and sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby . As the Inquisitr previously reported, two more women came forward on Wednesday to accuse the comedian of drugging and sexual assault, while a former Cosby Show actress says the comedian sexually harassed her on the set of the show. Cosby’s list of accusers now stands at 49.
Bill Cosby is set to be deposed on October 9 in regards to a civil lawsuit brought by accuser Judy Huth, who claims she was only 15-years-old when the comedian took her to the Playboy Mansion and sexually assaulted her.
