The iPhone 8 release date in 2017 may seem like a long way off, but you could not be further from the truth is reports on reputable websites that report on Apple are to be believed.
According to Mac Rumors , the iPhone 8 release date in 2017 appears to be slated for sometime in the fall of next year. This would correspond the iPhone 8 release date in 2017 to the iPhone 7 release date in 2016 that just happened recently.
“The iPhone 8 is still under development and will likely launch in the fall of 2017, and in the months ahead of its launch, we’ll undoubtedly learn more about the specs of the device,” Mac Rumors reported.
PC Advisor has also pegged an iPhone 8 release date of 2017 and has details on what you can expect once the iPhone 8 release date is set next year.
“It sounded as though we were in for the usual 4.7- and 5.5in models (the regular and Plus), plus a third new ‘Pro’ model with a 5.5in or above curved screen,” PC Advisor noted of the iPhone 8 release.
Know Your Mobile has been digging into the latest features rumored to be part of an iPhone 8 release date in 2017 and let us just say it sounds like the playbook could be thrown out with the latest iPhone iteration.
“The rumours are aligning that it will be a complete ground up rebuild, and will look nothing like the last few generations of iPhone devices. The most prominent feature will be the exterior design, which will allegedly mimic the old iPhone 4s shape to some extent, but will be made largely from either glass or transparent (or at least partially transparent) Zirconia ceramic; some sources have said it will be made entirely from these transparent/translucent materials (presumably they will also be coloured) which will be curved into shape, while others say there will be at least a metal frame holding it together. The display will be OLED, quite possibly curved and edge-to-edge or wrap-around, and we’re looking at a further streamlining of the frame as the Home key and fingerprint scanner is apparently hidden under the display glass.”
Know Your Mobile goes on to note that upon the iPhone 8 release date in 2017, we may not be calling it an iPhone 8 at all, but instead could be pegging it the iPhone X. Why, you ask? It is really quite simple. 2017 will be the 10th anniversary of Steve Jobs introducing the world to the iPhone’s original model and as such, the company could completely change how it names its devices. PC Advisor noted that the company had done a similar name change when it released the iPhone SE this year.
So upon the iPhone 8’s release date in 2017 , what will the OLED screen look like? According to the UK’s Express newspaper, it may very well look like the Samsung Galaxy 7 Note. The curved glass display will be easy to navigate and control while offering a wealth of options. The newspaper was also digging into the patents on the iPhone 8 and suggests it could definitely bring identity to your screen.
“The patent suggests ultrasonic imaging is more accurate than using a standalone fingerprint sensor, like those in the Touch ID scanners used in current generation iPhones,” the Express reported.
While the iPhone 8 release date in 2017 is likely a little less than a year away, the Express noted that the company is already having trouble meeting demand for the iPhone 7 Plus. With that being the case and with Samsung still reeling from its flop with the exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s, the iPhone 8 release date in 2017 could position Apple to be the strongest smartphone manufacturer for the foreseeable future. Apple’s iPhone product line already accounts for more than half of all Apple profits and the iPhone 8 release date in 2017 could further the dominance of its signature product line.
