Plane Flies ‘Tebow, Why Not?’ Banner Over Jaguars Game

Things are getting ugly in Jacksonville. A group of fans tired of the team’s quarterback situation, flew a plane over the game Sunday with a banner reading, “Tebow, why not?”

The sign, obviously, is another effort by the Jaguars faithful to convince the team to sign free agent quarterback Tim Tebow. The sad fact is, things can’t get worse in Jacksonville by sigining Tebow. Who knows, they might even win a game with a miracle touchdown in the fourth quarter.

This isn’t the first time fans have tried to convince the Jaguars that Tim Tebow should be brought in. A few weeks ago, a small group of faithful organized a rally outside of Everbank Field . The rally was not a success, and only a few people showed up.

Fans will be fans though, and Jaguars fans are proving surprisingly vocal.

So far this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars have looked like a team that could go 0-16. They have been blown out four straight weeks, and there is no light on the horizon.

Maybe there’s a Tim Tebow on the horizon. After all, why not? Tebow has a winning record as an NFL quarterback, and he has a playoff win. As easy as it is to make fun of Tim Tebow, he’s a tough competitor and winning runs in his blood.

It wasn’t that long ago Tim Tebow took over a 2-6 Denver Broncos team and led them to an 8-8 record, somehow squeaking in to the playoffs. He then beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the the first round, only to lose to Tom Brady and the Patriots in the second round.

Do you think the “Tebow, why not?” banner will work? Should the Jaguars take a chance on Tim Tebow?
