Bruce Jenner is a television personality, a former Olympian, a father of six, and step father to four children. Jenner is rarely out of the news at the moment because the 65-year-old is currently transitioning to become a woman. Jenner gave a two-hour interview to Diane Sawyer of 20/20 on Friday April 24, and said that he hoped that by speaking out and being open about his transition he would help other transgender people.
Singer Demi Lovato is currently on tour in New Zealand and last night, she spoke up in support of Bruce Jenner. According to Just Jared Lovato spoke about Jenner during her concert at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. Demi dedicated her song “Warrior” to Bruce Jenner and hailed him as a hero.
“I just want to dedicate this song and it’s so cheesy that I’m even doing this, but f**k it, whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night, Bruce Jenner,”
“By the way, [I] never ever thought I’d dedicate a song to him, but he was honest and he was open with his story. No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people about transitioning into being a woman and being transgender, and what that’s all about. So yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner.”
Lovato was not the only star to praise Bruce Jenner after his 20/20 interview. According to People Magazine Laverne Cox, the first transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy award also congratulated Jenner . She took to Twitter to send her “love and support” to Bruce Jenner and his family.

According to ABC News Bruce Jenner told Diane Sawyer that “for all intents and purposes, I’m a woman.” Jenner spoke movingly about his internal struggles with being transgender, something he says he has wrestled with since childhood.
“I look at it this way, Bruce always telling a lie. He’s lived a lie his whole life about who he is. And I can’t do that any longer. My brain is much more female than it is male, It’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s what my soul is.”
Bruce Jenner’s transitioning will be screened in an eight-part documentary series on E! commencing July 26.
