A PlayStation 4 bundle will be the same $499 price as the Xbox One, heating up the Xbox One vs PS4 battle.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Microsoft claims the Xbox One’s $100 price difference with the PlayStation 4 is still worth buying.
As if to pour salt in the wound, Sony is matching the Xbox One’s price by releasing a PlayStation 4 bundle that includes a Jet Black 500GB PlayStation 4 console, Killzone: Shadow Fall, the PlayStation 4 Camera, and two DualShock 4 controllers. So far Microsoft is only offering a Xbox One bundle that includes FIFA 14.
Sony had originally decided to not bundle in the PlayStation 4 Camera in order to keep the cost down. The Xbox One will always come with a Kinect 2.0 and Microsoft considers the Kinect an integral part of the Xbox One experience.
While this move saves Sony money it creates a problem for video game developers when it comes to choosing a target demographic for their game designs. Since the PlayStation 4 Camera is considered non-standard not as many games may use its features while Xbox One game are highly likely to use the Kinect in some fashion.
Microsoft has been quick to respond to any criticism of its decisions. For example, the other day it was announced the Xbox One voice commands would only be available at launch in five out of 13 launch countries. But then Microsoft apparently changed their minds and decided to shoot for 10 out of 13 countries for the Xbox One release date in November.
In the Xbox One vs PS4 battle, which console bundle do you think is the better deal?
