By now, anyone who watches NCIS knows that character Ziva David will be no more. The farewell begins as Season 11 is set to premiere next month ahead of Cote de Pablo’s exit.
We’re not exactly sure how producers will send de Pablo off into the sunset, but what they have shared is that she’s not being killed off, leaving open the possibility of a return if the actress decides to do so.
In the first teaser trailer for what promises to be an emotionally charged first few episodes, we get a glimpse of what the show has in store for viewers this time around.
It’s always tricky to get rid of popular main characters who have been around forever and the public loves. Case and point, Dan Stevens leaving the worldwide hit period drama Downton Abbey.
Maybe NCIS producers have taken note of what not to do when getting rid of beloved characters.
The new NCIS trailer shows the dramatic last scenes in which Israeli agent Ziva David interacts with her partner DiNozzo played by Michael Whetherly. The two characters had a “thing” for many years.
It seems like they will put a price on her head as Gibbs (Mark Harmon) tries to protect his agent. Not only that, it appears as if the whole team is in danger from unnamed sources.
We get the clue that they might kill Ziva off from Homeland Security boss Tom Morrow (Alan Dale) who is told by a a man that she is the next target.
The promo shows a tender scene between Ziva and DiNozzo in which she lovingly caresses his face while assuring him that she will be alright.
De Pablo announced that she was leaving the most popular show on television back in July, leaving many fans very disappointed. She has been playing the Israeli agent since 2005.
We will see the last of Ziva David when NCIS premieres this September 24 on CBS. Get the tissues ready.
