Saggy Pants Ban ‘Racist’, Says Rapper

American rapper The Game says New Jersey’s saggy pants ban is racist.

The saggy pants ban — a new law passed this week in Wildwood, New Jersey — forbids folks on the boardwalk from wearing their pants that sag 3 inches below the hips, exposing either skin or underwear.

Offending parties face fines starting at $25 for first time saggers and up to $200 for repeat sagging. They may also be sentenced to 40 hours community service.

Several celebs, including The Game, tell TMZ they are unimpressed with the new law. The 33-year-old rapper – real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor – claims the new law is racist, comparing the law to slavery.

“N***** should sag down to their socks out there,” says the Los Angeles born hip hop artist. “They trying to get people to not sag, please. Can’t tell people how to wear their f***ing clothes. What time are we in? This ain’t the f***ing slave days. F*** that.”

He also went as far as to say that he supports “the sagging movement” and will pay the fines of the first five people charged under the saggy pants ban.

“I will go there and sag cause I am a sagging Sagittarius.”

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone speaks up to the same tune, calling the new law “racist and ridiculous”. Rapper Mac Miller is also against the saggy pants ban, saying he’ll continue to sag and that “no one has time to do that much community service”.

Wilwood mayor Ernest Troiano Jr. says the ban will add a touch of decency to his town, telling reporters, “It’s amazing – and this is a pun – how far decency has fallen through the cracks.”

According to Fox News, the new law was passed unanimously June 12, and will come into effect as of July 2.
