Kate Middleton will be taking a break from her royal duties for the next few months. Yep, Kate is going on maternity leave.
The Duchess of Cambridge is getting closer to her due date and isn’t scheduled to make any more public appearances.The royal family has not confirmed Middleton’s schedule but numerous sources are reporting that Kate officially goes on maternity leave on June 13.
One source said : “Kate has really enjoyed her job and wanted to work as close to the birth date as possible. She takes her royal role very seriously and is looking forward to taking up her duties when her maternity leave has finished.”
Middleton’s exact due date isn’t known but the royal baby is expected to arrive in mid-July. IOL reports that Kate’s due date is July 13 but Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the date.
Middleton may be going on maternity leave but she isn’t going into seclusion. It’s possible that Kate makes an appearance at the Queen’s official birthday parade this weekend or at the Garter Day service at Windsor Castle on Monday.
The Duchess of Cambridge may make one or two more appearances before she royal baby arrives but there’s a good chance that the boat naming ceremony in England this morning was her last. Middleton christened an ocean liner from Princess Cruises this morning.
Middleton said : “I name this ship the Royal Princess. May God bless her and all who sail in her.”
