Miley Cyrus wants the entire world to know that she’s actually very happy following her split with Hunger Games heartthrob Liam Hemsworth.

Fans of the “Wrecking Ball” singer were very shocked when Cyrus and Hemsworth decided to end their scheduled trip down the aisle earlier this year. Although the world has weighed in on the situation, the former Hannah Montana star remained tight-lipped about the split.

However, all of that changed during her recent appearance on Ellen . Miley Cyrus told DeGeneres that she is currently the happiest she’s ever been. In case you were wondering, that’s not a thinly-veiled slam on her ex-fiance whatsoever.

The singer explained:

“I want to be really clear and determined with everything I’m doing in my life right now, and I have been. I keep saying I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and that’s not even a dig. That’s just me, because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself, which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are. I’ve never been able to just be alone, and I’m obsessed with being alone and like hearing my thoughts.”

Cyrus also told Ellen DeGeneres that people with absolutely no connection to the situation spend more time thinking about it than she does. Considering the amount of articles written on the subject every day, she might be right.

Cyrus added:

“I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That’s kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn’t really been focused on that.”
