Just 24 hours removed from last night’s TLC , WWE is already focused on their next pay-per-view event which will be Survivor Series taking place next month. Kurt Angle opened tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw by announcing the PPV would be Raw vs. SmackDown with a series of Champion vs. Champion matches. Not only that, Angle announced a few other matches as well and they included the traditional elimination-tag style bouts.
Rumors had been flying about this year’s Survivor Series and Jinder Mahal calling out Brock Lesnar kind of confirmed that speculation last week. Now, WWE has made things official with the announcement of four huge champion vs. champion matches for the PPV.
Lesnar is still set to respond to Mahal’s challenge tonight on Raw , but Kurt Angle already let it be known that the WWE Champion vs. the WWE Universal Champion would take place. Actually, Angle said that the match was “ already slated ” for the PPV, but it had not yet been officially confirmed until he said it.
First things first, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced that the women would be represented well at Survivor Series . Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will be facing off against SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya.

The third match revealed for this year’s Survivor Series will have Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose of The Shield taking on The Usos. This may be one of the most anticipated matches on the entire card as the Raw Tag Team Champions will face off with the SmackDown Tag Team Champions in an epic battle.

With a few weeks left until the big event, more matches could be added, but this card is already big enough as it is.
Confirmed matches for this year’s Survivor Series :
- WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Jinder Mahal
- Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. U.S. Champion Baron Corbin
- Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya
- Raw Tag Team Champions The Shield vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
- Men’s Elimination Tag Match: Raw vs. SmackDown
- Women’s Elimination Tag Match: Raw vs. SmackDown
This year’s Survivor Series is still a few weeks away, but WWE has wasted no time in making sure the card is going to be absolutely off the charts. Champion vs. champion matches. Monday Night Raw vs. SmackDown Live . Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal and elimination-style tag team matches. What a great way to kick off the night and the holiday season as one of WWE’s big four pay-per-views is shaping up to be one of the best of the year.
