The Westboro Baptist Church got a little surprise while protesting outside of a Ke$ha concert in Lincoln, Nebraska this week. Three of the singers met the group outside and danced along to their hateful version of “We R Who We R.”
In case you didn’t know, The Westboro Baptist Church occasionally transforms pop songs into hateful anthems. For Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R,” they created a charming rendition called “God Hates Who U R.”
The group was standing outside of the singer’s concert in Nebraska singing their song this week when three of Ke$ha’s backup singers decided to join in .
The dancers performed their choreographed moves while the Westboro Baptist Church serenaded them with lyrics like “You think you’re superstars / GOD HATES WHO U R,” “You’re selling your souls, warring on God / He’s slapping you down, smacking you dudes. HARD!” and “”Hates you? Of course he does!/ You’re running ’round town dressed like a slut.”)
Ke$ha hasn’t commented on the incident yet but she has won a few fans. Of course, it’s not too hard to appear likable when you’re standing next to a Westboro Baptist Church protest .
Here’s a video of Ke$ha’s backup dancers trolling the WBC.
