Samuel L Jackson has been discussing his upcoming role in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where he will reprise the role of Nick Fury.

Jackson has so far played the iconic character in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers, and he will also appear in The Avengers: Age of Ultron as well as the follow up to Steve Rogers’ follow-up.

Jackson admitted that we will get to see a different side to the character than in the previous Marvel instalments. The Pulp Fiction star remarked, “You see Nick Fury the office guy, him going about the day-to-day work of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the politics as opposed to that other stuff.”

He then added that he’ll be working closely with Rogers, remarking, “It’s great to have him dealing with Captain America in terms of being able to speak to him soldier to soldier and try to explain to him how the world has changed in another way while he was frozen in time.”

Jackson managed to reveal some of the plots details too, noting, “Some of the people who used to be our enemies are now our allies — him trying to figure out, ‘Well, how do we trust those guys?’ or ‘How do we trust the guys that you didn’t trust who don’t trust you?’ And explaining to him that the black and white of good guys/bad guys has now turned into this gray area.”

Jackson also confirmed that Fury’s boss which feature in Captain America: The Winter Soldier , and he will be played by Robert Redford, who is an unseen member of the World Security Council, which appeared in The Avengers.

Marvel previously described the Captain America follow-up:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers — also known as Captain America — living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.
