Justin Bieber may not yet have a diary date for his trip to space , or apparently, a fondue session with Selena Gomez, but he has just unveiled new Believe tour dates.
As promised, the 19-year-old has extended his world tour to include additional shows in Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand.
To date, Bieber has played the US, Europe, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. According to the singer’s official fan site, the next leg kicks off on June 22 at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego and ends its stateside run on August 10 at Atlanta’s Philips Arena.
After a brief break, the “Baby” singer will perform in Singapore at the Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix on September 23.
From there, the Asian tour begins in Bangkok, then Japan, Korea, China, before hitting Latin America.
First up, San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 19. Then, Bieber will trek to various countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico. Venezuela was left off the list , most likely due to Caracas being recently named the third most violent city in the world and its dire toilet paper shortage. Peru and Uruguay were also missed off.
In protest, the hashtag #VenezuelaWantsBelieveTour became a trending topic a few hours after the announcement. Peruvian and Uruguayan ‘Beliebers’ also complained bitterly on Twitter.
On November 23 and 24, the young performer will take New Zealand for a spin on Bieber Air before jumping to Australia for a slew of dates and a final show in Perth on December 8.
So far Bieber’s tour has generated a mix of (mostly) rapturously received shows and some bizarre headlines, wrapping the last leg with two reportedly terrific concerts in South Africa and a bodacious Ocean’s 11 heist footnote.
Meanwhile, hot on the heels of recent rumors that La Gomez has called time on her relationship with her on-off beau, a Hollywood Life panelist on VH1’s “The Gossip Table” thought needlessly stirring the pot would be a good idea.
The panelist claimed that Bieber “doesn’t like” Gomez’s upcoming album Stars Dance then said the Canadian thought his music was “better.” Gossip Cop swiftly killed the claim, quoting a source as saying “of course” the Biebs liked Gomez’s new set.
