Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have lived very separate lives for almost a year, but neither star has filed for divorce. Rumors that the couple were never legally married started several months ago and picked up momentum after a new Radar Online source speculated that the marriage ceremony was merely a symbolic endeavor.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis appear to be very much a romantic couple, yet Demi Moore has not served the husband who admitted to cheating on her with divorce papers. The Two and a Half Men actor was caught cheating on Moore on the evening of the sixth anniversary of their wedding. The actress is allegedly going to break her silence about her estranged husband soon and may even do an interview with Oprah Winfrey on the topic, according to the Huffington Post .
Moore has remained oddly silent on the divorce topic when probed by paparazzi. The Radar Online source maintains that the couple’s Kabbalah who officiated the exchange of vows did not perform a legal marriage ceremony.
A statement released by Demi Moore after the news of Ashton Kutcher cheating surfaced reads:
“As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.”
The couple was allegedly wed on September 24, 2005 during a Los Angeles ceremony with Kabbalah Rabbi Yehuda Berg. The ceremony was fairly private, but Demi Moore’s ex-husband, Bruce Willis, did attend. The actress has recently been seen with actor Martin Henderson; some consider him to be her new significant other. The length of time Kutcher and Moore have been separated and photos of the former couple with new romantic interests are generating more gossip about the legality of their marriage.
