WWE News: UFC Star Calls Brock Lesnar ‘Mentally Weak’

In the world of the WWE and professional wrestling in general, there isn’t a tougher character than Brock Lesnar. The man has plowed through everyone put in front of him and then proved he was legitimately tough in the UFC as a former heavyweight champion, even returning to win another fight this year.

However, MMA Hour spoke to UFC fighter Michael Bisping and he made it clear that he has no respect for Brock Lesnar and it all comes down to the failed drug tests that were revealed after Brock beat Mark Hunt at UFC 200. Lesnar fought this battle while under contract with the WWE and looked as dominant as ever.

However, after UFC 200, the USADA notified Brock Lesnar and the UFC that he failed for an undisclosed banned substance during his out-of-competition testing in June. In July, Brock failed a second test for the same banned substance. Sher Dog reported that the Nevada Athletic Commission said he failed for the estrogen blocker clomiphene both times and suspended him.

The problem here is that some people use clomiphene to mask steroid use. It also helps to limit the side effects of steroid use. Mark Hunt blasted Brock Lesnar after the results and demanded Lesnar’s entire purse from the fight, which was an estimated $2.5 million.

It also doesn’t make Brock Lesnar look good since he blasted Jon Jones for failing his drug tests, calling Jones unprofessional. Jon Jones failed his tests for using the exact same drugs that Brock Lesnar failed for using. That makes it easy for someone like Michael Bisping to lay into Brock.

“Brock Lesnar tested positive for steroids, it’s as simple as that. I have a very strong opinion, so if you’re going to come over here and fight and take steroids, you’re a pu**y. Simple as that. You come in here and act tough, but then you’ve got to take steroids? So which is it? Are you are tough guy or are you not a tough guy? And if you’re taking steroids, then you’re not a tough guy, because you’re mentally weak and you’re a coward.”

It is harsh, but Brock Lesnar brought this upon himself. Luckily for the superstar, the WWE did not seem to care about the failed drug tests. While the WWE has no problem suspending people like Alberto Del Rio, Paige, and Eva Marie, and even in the past suspending names like Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and Kofi Kingston, they refused to suspend Brock Lesnar.

The difference is that Brock Lesnar is a part-time superstar and the WWE drug policy exempts part-time stars from suspensions, meaning that Brock Lesnar can do any drug he wants while working for the WWE and he won’t be punished. Because he is a part-time star, it is likely the WWE never even tests him since he is not held to the same level of other wrestlers.

Brock Lesnar not only was not punished by the WWE after the very public failed drug tests, but he was pushed even harder. In his first match following UFC 200, Brock destroyed Randy Orton at SummerSlam , beating him into a bloody mess, something rare on today’s WWE product.

Brock Lesnar is now preparing for a huge fight with Bill Goldberg at Survivor Series and is still the biggest star in the company. While Michael Bisping may consider Brock Lesnar to be mentally weak for his failed drug tests in the UFC, it will do nothing to hurt him in the eyes of WWE fans.
