Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are facing rumors of an impending marriage, and as the couple allegedly prepares to tie the knot around Christmas time, they are said to be headed for a potential battle over their prenuptial agreement.
While the couple’s engagement and wedding plans have yet to be confirmed, a new report suggests their prenup may become a thorn in their relationship.
On August 22, the International Business Times told readers that Gwen Stefani was planning to have a heated discussion with Blake Shelton in reference to their marriage and fortune after just eight months of dating. OK! Magazine also reported on the issue, claiming that while Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are very happy in their relationship, the 46-year-old mother of three is concerned about her finances after enduring a messy split from her first husband, Gavin Rossdale.

“She’s already floated the idea of a prenup,” an insider told the magazine. “Gwen’s worth almost twice as much as Blake, and from her experience with Gavin, she knows she has to prepare for the worst.”
Gwen Stefani and her former husband, Gavin Rossdale, the father of her three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, parted ways in August, and a short while later, it was revealed that she had allegedly caught the Bush frontman cheating on her with their former nanny, Mindy Mann. According to a report by Us Weekly , Gwen Stefani was informed of Rossdale’s alleged affair by a member of her staff and later came across damning text messages sent between him and Mann on their family’s iPad.
Although Rossdale was said to have initially denied sleeping with the nanny, Us Weekly claimed he ultimately admitted to their affair and in August, Gwen Stefani chose to end their marriage.
Now, as Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance continues, the source said that while they are happy, “what happened before has hardened her,” and she does “not want to make the same mistakes.”
“Everyone can see how happy they are,” the report stated. “Gwen has told friends she doesn’t suit being single and is ready to start the next chapter.”

According to another report, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are waiting to get engaged as they spend time on their equally busy careers.
“They are not engaged yet,” a source close to Stefani told People Magazine earlier this month. “Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though.”
Currently, Gwen Stefani is in the midst of her This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour while Shelton has been busy filming for the 11th season of NBC’s The Voice .
“It seems the timing [for an engagement] just hasn’t been right,” adds the source. “But Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake… There are no immediate plans for their future, but it’s a serious relationship.”
“[Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s] relationship is almost too good to be true,” added the Stefani source. “They are very much alike and really have a very special relationship. All the things that need to work out for two people to merge lives have worked out.”
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton debuted their relationship last November as the 9th season of The Voice aired on NBC and during the show’s 10th season, they performed their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” for the very first time.
