Batman: Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition is aiming to give you more bat for your buck.
Warner Bros. Games Montreal is really trying to give you all you can handle with their debut outing in the blockbuster Batman game series. This version of the game will net you all the swag you could ask for … although the Batmobile still isn’t included.
The third game in the series, Batman: Arkham Origins sets you in a much more open Gotham City at a time when the major villains of Batman’s world haven’t been made a major nuisance yet. The time is Christmas Eve, and Batman is still cocky, thinking he knows it all when all he’s really done was go after mob bosses and such, as previously reported by The Inquisitr . Waiting in the wings is the Black Mask, who has just put a million dollar bounty on the dark knight’s head, meaning it’s time for Batman to meet the next echelon of villains. Waiting to challenge his skills and confidence are such villains as the Joker, Bane, Deathstroke, and Copperhead.
The Batman: Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition will give you a real-world head start, with plenty of wonderful toys. A highly detailed premium statue with LED lights will accompany a picture of Bruce Wayne’s parents, an 80-page hardcover art book, and two pieces of key evidence from Gotham City Police Department’s crime lab. You will also get a Batman Wanted poster, a schematic of the Batwing (which makes us wonder if the vehicle is in the game somewhere ready to be used), a glow-in-the-dark map of Gotham City, and an Assassin’s Dossier detailing the eight assassins that are after the caped crusader.
Some in-game bonuses included in the Batman: Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition are an original Batman skin from Detective Comics 27 (You can look just like he did back in the late ’30s), the Deathstroke Challenge Pack simultaneously giving you the chance to play as the mentioned villain, and a US-exclusive documentary on the villains by Christopher Lee.
The PS3 version will include an exclusive Knightfall Pack.
