If Lily Collins has any doubts that she’s arrived in Hollywood, all the 24-year-old actress needs to do is check Twitter.
It’s not the fans, the hashtags, or the shared photos that tell Collins she’s become Hollywood’s It Girl, but instead a fake account set up to commemorate her eyebrows.
That’s right, there is a Twitter page solely for Lily Collins’ eyebrows.
On a recent visit to Chelsea Lately, the actress talked about the account and clarified that she has nothing to do with it.
“I don’t run it — I’ll have you know, I don’t run it,” Collins told host Chelsea Handler. “I don’t know where they come up with these things. They’ve got a mind of their own.”
The account has actually been active for more than two years, offering some off-the-wall updates from the perspective of Collins’ eyebrows.
“Getting extra bushy this month. Gotta make sure Lil stays warm through the winter,” one tweet read .
Collins said she’s a bit flattered and a bit creeped out by the idea that somewhere, someone is sitting at a computer thinking about what her eyebrows might want to share with the world.
“They’re kind of part creepy, kind of part cool,” she said. “I don’t know what’s worse: Not knowing, or knowing the person [behind it] and seeing them every day. It could be my mom for all I know — I have no idea.”
That’s not the only attention her eyebrows have gotten, Collins added. She said overzealous fans have asked to touch them before, and not knowing what else to do, Lily has let them.
If nothing else, the page is a sign of an actress on the rise. Lily Collins is set to star in the highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones , which hits theaters August 21.
