Into Justin Bieber’s quiet, uneventful year now enters a second paternity claim.
The new claim has been reported by the notorious tabloid magazine Star and has been slammed as “completely untrue” by a rep for the 19-year-old.
At the center of the allegation is an unnamed, 25-year-old “European woman” who says that Bieber is the father of her baby daughter.
According to Star , the then 15-year-old Bieber met the woman after he and his crew visited a T.G.I. Friday’s in South Beach, Miami, after a February 4, 2010, concert.
Star goes on to write that the then minor pop star “invited her back to his hotel room, spent the night with her — and got her pregnant!”
The woman claims that on arriving at Miami’s Gansevoort South hotel, the pair went up to Bieber’s room and slept together, with a resulting baby girl arriving nine months later in October 2010.
“She gave birth to a baby girl later that year, and Justin didn’t know anything about it,” a source told Star .
“She just wanted to protect her baby. She wanted to keep her and her family away from any spotlight. In my opinion, she does look a lot like Justin did at that same age.”
The source added: “She was 100 percent sure that Justin was the father.”
The magazine also quotes alleged text messages sent between Bieber and the woman the day after their alleged — and what would have been illegal — liaison.
In one of the alleged texts Bieber purportedly describes the woman as “drop dead gorgeous,” before writing “thanks 4 last night” and referring to their tryst as “Our little secret?”
Included in Star’s report is a grainy picture of two people kissing. However, the image doesn’t reveal the faces of either of the parties.
This is the second paternity claim to land at Bieber’s door.
Back in October 2011, Mariah Yeater filed a paternity claim accusing the singer had impregnated her during a 30 second encounter in a backstage bathroom after his October 25, 2010 concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In her suit, Yeater demanded maintenance from Bieber for her four-month-old baby son and paternity testing .
Yeater subsequently withdrew her paternity suit in November 2011 after the singer said he would submit to a DNA test and threatened to counter-sue on the basis that her claim was false.
At the time, Bieber’s lawyers called Yeater’s claims “fabricated and vindictive,” while the singer previously addressed the issue on the Today Show , saying:
“I would just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true. I know that I’m going to be a target but I’m never going to be a victim.”
He added: “It’s crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations but to set the record straight, none of it is true.”
It seems highly likely the same can be said of this latest paternity claim.
