This August 19 Big Brother 18 recap comes from the Friday night episode. The BB18 house took part in another “special” episode of the show, with CBS giving viewers some bonus footage for the week. This is the second time during the summer 2016 season that an episode has aired on Friday night, with the first one consisting of the Battle Back competition earlier in the season. This episode of the show was aired by CBS on Friday, August 19, at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , quite a few Big Brother 18 spoilers were revealed on Thursday night, August 18. Paulie Calafiore was evicted from the BB18 house, with the vote being 5-0 to save Corey Brooks from eviction. Paulie became the fourth member of the BB18 jury, joining Da’Vonne Rogers, Zakiyah Everette, and Bridgette Dunning. At the end of the episode, host Julie Chen stated that the first five jury members would have the chance to play in a future competition. The winner will get re-entry into the game this summer.

Back to the August 19 Big Brother 18 recap, as the episode began with an extended “previously on Big Brother ” segment. It went all the way back to Victor Arroyo taking over as the Head of Household and then covered how he won the Veto competition. The Paulie eviction was also shown, including what led up to the BB18 house deciding that it was time to send him to the jury. Everything was covered up until the vote was official, with producers trying to convince the CBS audience that what followed took place Thursday night.
Natalie Negrotti got the first Diary Room interview of the episode, showing just how pleased she was that Paulie Calafiore had been evicted. After some brief discussions between houseguests, Victor Arroyo was shown coming out of the Diary Room with an announcement. The remaining houseguests were invited to enjoy a backyard carnival. It became very obvious that the celebration was likely filmed twice, because the houseguests went to a concert by Ziggy Marley that took place earlier in the week.

This August 19 Big Brother 18 recap picks up after a long commercial break, with the episode turning into a series of clips that happened earlier in the season. Some of the footage that had appeared on the CBS live feeds , but didn’t get shown on the television show, was finally revealed to TV viewers. Intermixed were some carnival games, including the houseguests getting a chance to throw darts at balloons holding money amounts. Paul Abrahamian and Victor Arroyo got $500 each, while everyone else received less than $10 on their attempts.
Another facet of the August 19 Big Brother 18 episode was recapping the showmances that had taken place this summer. Producers used a kissing booth as a segue into showing a lot of highlights involving James Huling and Natalie Negrotti. They moved from there to the Nicole Franzel and Corey Brooks showmance, before finally filling in the TV audience on how the Paulie Calafiore and Zakiyah Everette showmance had really carried out. It was really an excuse to show more footage of the couples, taking up nearly 10 full minutes of the episode.

Jessie Godderz, a former Big Brother houseguest, appeared in the backyard to lead a dunk tank competition. Each houseguest got five attempts to dunk Jessie, with the houseguest hitting the target the most times winning a prize package. The prizes included a new television, a smart phone, and a tablet. Victor Arroyo ended up winning, beating out former baseball player Corey Brooks in the process. It also served as a segue, leading to a showcase of all the pranks that had taken place in the BB18 house this summer.
A pie-eating contest was used to decide the two “Have Nots” for next week, Victor Arroyo and James Huling. It was then time to play the latest Head of Household competition. Only some brief footage was shown, revealing that the houseguests would be doing another Black Box challenge, where they went into a dark enclosed backyard to search for game pieces. It didn’t get completed before the latest BB18 episode came to a close. Viewers interested in reading additional Big Brother 18 spoilers about who won the HOH competition can read about it here .
