Queen fans believe that they have finally located Freddie Mercury’s grave in a cemetery in West London.

The former lead singer for the English rockers died in 1991 and was cremated, before having his ashes scattered in an undisclosed location.

But now a plaque, which is written in French and is located in a London cemetery, apparently now offers fans an insight into where his remains are.

This sign was discovered in Kensal Rise cemetery and is dedicated to Farrokh Bulsara, which is Mercury’s birth name, plus also features the exact birth and death dates of the singer. The full phrase reads, “In Loving Memory of Farrokh Bulsara. Pour Etre Toujours Pres De Toi Avec Tout Mon Amour,” and is placed alongside other tributes to people.

The plaque is then signed with the single initial, “M,” and fans have speculated that this is a reference to Mary Austin, who is Mercury’s former girlfriend. She also inherited his $10million home after his death.

A fan of the group told The Daily Mirror , “Everyone knows Freddie was cremated at Kensal Green Cemetery in 1991 but it has remained a complete mystery as to where his ashes were finally laid to rest.

The insider also added, “According to some biographies, his ashes weren’t even collected from Kensal Green for well over a year following his cremation. The discovery of this plaque is really exciting and may prove to be a major breakthrough.”

Sacha Baron Cohen is set to star as Freddie Mercury in a biopic which will be filmed in 2014. Are you excited for Mercury’s film?
