A new Grand Theft Auto 5 garage issue is plaguing the game, giving players and Rockstar an unexpected headache.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is stealing more than just your time, it seems. The game seems to be stealing your cars without any help. A glitch in Rockstar’s best-selling game is causing cars to vanish in gamers’ garages.
That’s either one seriously efficient chop shop inside job, or the game has a coding problem. Since Rockstar didn’t program a chop shop to run secretly inside the garage, this means they have a patch to work on before the angry legion of Grand Theft Auto 5 gamers comes to their door with burning torches and accusations of witchcraft.
Rockstar’s support page has offered a temporary solution on for the Grand Theft Auto 5 garage issue, as follows:
“We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing. Please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades.”
Yes, Rockstar is working on a patch that will hopefully fix the problem with garages, and nobody knows what exactly triggers the mysterious car thefts. We are wondering if the new insurance feature may be part of the problem, as it has never been done in a GTA game before and it’s intended to counter intentional car theft. Then again, having multiple protagonists throughout the game is also something that was never done before.
Rockstar also suggests signing up for their Rockstar Social Club, as the garage there doesn’t appear to have the notorious issue.
It seems Grand Theft Auto 5 ‘s garage issue is only the latest of the technical problems, as there were install issues on the Xbox 360 and PS3 from the start, as previously reported by The Inquisitr .
Rest assured, digital hooligans, the Grand Theft Auto 5 garage issue is being looked into and retooled .
