Janet Jackson made a surprise appearance the Fashion Awards in London earlier this week at Royal Albert Hall. The “What Have You Done for Me Lately” hitmaker has been sharing photos from the night to her Instagram this week and has treated her 3.9 million followers with yet another snap from the event.
In her latest upload, Jackson looked cozy in a black Stella McCartney fur jacket. She paired the garment with a black beanie hat that had a white bow stitched on the side of it. The singer sported her long, dark, curly hair down and subtly smiled directly at the camera lens. She opted for a bold red lip to give her look a dash of color.
For her caption, she kept it simple and put a black heart emoji.
In the span of 20 hours, Jackson’s post racked up more than 37,000 likes and over 770 comments, proving to be a hit with her fans.
“I love you Queen to the moon and back,” one user wrote.
“WORK IT JAY. I’M LOVING THE BLACK,” another shared passionately in capital letters.
“Janet, you are such a beautiful and elegant woman,” a third follower remarked.
“You age backwards. You’re beautiful,” commented a fourth fan.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Janet was seen showing off what she was wearing underneath her coat. The “That’s the Way Love Goes” songstress kept the ensemble all-black and paired a black blazer jacket with a sweater and loose fitted pants.
Ahead of the ceremony, Janet hinted to fans that she was off somewhere on Instagram . The “Love Will Never Do (Without You)” chart-topper shared an up-close photo of herself that saw her in the same fur garment. Jackson applied a filter to the shot which gave it a black-and-white effect. She showed off her side profile in the photo where she is looking over to her left. Janet’s skin looked flawless and her bone structure popped. The shot displayed her glossy lips and sparkly dangling earrings which were an oval shape. Her earrings were previously covered by her big curly hair in other shots.
For the caption, she wrote “Say what…?” with the upside-down face emoji.
She tagged Stella McCartney in the post as well as her makeup artist, Preston, who helped her look glamorous.
Jackson kept a low profile at the event and didn’t pose on the red carpet. She didn’t reveal herself at the ceremony until she hit the stage to honour Rihanna for her Urban Luxe Award for her brand Fenty.
