This August 18 Big Brother 18 recap comes from the Thursday night episode. The BB18 house had to decide who the fourth member of the jury was going to be this summer. While there was a lot of drama for producers to finally reveal to the television audience, the focal point of the episode was the houseguests deciding whether to evict Paulie Calafiore or Corey Brooks. This episode of the show was aired by CBS on Thursday, August 18, at 9 p.m. PT/ET.
During the “previously on Big Brother ” segment at the beginning of the show, footage from the Week 8 nomination ceremony, Veto competition, and Veto ceremony was recapped for viewers. Victor Arroyo won the Head of Household this past week after an intense double eviction episode. He decided to enact some revenge by targeting Paulie Calafiore for eviction, choosing to also put Corey Brooks on the block beside him. Victor then won the Veto competition and decided to keep his nominations the same.

This August 18 Big Brother 18 recap picks up following the Veto ceremony, where it dawned on Paulie that he was close to getting evicted. He tried to get some sympathy from James Huling during a backyard chat session and Paulie crying may have garnered some late support from James. CBS viewers were finally shown some more “real” Paulie, though, as he refused to do his punishment of baking pies when Zingbot’s anthem was played. It was still whitewashed, as it didn’t show his constant complaining and threats to quit the house and skip going to the BB18 jury.

Later, Paulie Calafiore went to Natalie Negrotti to apologize for the series of personal attacks he had made against her over the past few weeks. In a Diary Room session, Natalie was shown speaking about the encounter, stating that while she would accept his apology, she knew that he was only doing it to garner support while he was on the block. She wasn’t fooled by his tears either, as he had been acting badly in the BB18 house for a while. A lot of footage from the CBS live feeds didn’t make it to the “live” show, with most of Paulie’s negative behavior from previous Big Brother 18 spoilers getting omitted.
Also omitted; swearing on his sick aunt, and repeatedly threatening to leave jury if evicted. #bb18 https://t.co/mi3bAiF6o3

After the second commercial break, a segment was dedicated to former houseguests Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly. They discussed who their favorites are this season, with Rachel rooting for James Huling and Natalie Negrotti, and Brendon stating that Paul Abrahamian has the best chance to win this season. They also introduced their daughter Adora Borealis (real name) to CBS viewers, the daughter that the duo has had since last being on the reality competition show.
The August 18 Big Brother 18 recap continues with the first look at the BB18 jury house. Da’Vonne Rogers was shown first, stating that she didn’t want to see Zakiyah Everette or James Huling join her first, as she was rooting for them to win. Queue Zakiyah walking through the front door. They watched a video of Zakiyah getting eliminated, leading up to the second victim of the double eviction (Bridgette Dunning) joining them at the jury house. Da’Vonne was particularly upset at Paulie for winning the Veto and not choosing to save Zakiyah.

It’s time to get to the eviction portion of this Big Brother 18 recap. Paulie Calafiore gave an extensive speech, saying good things about all of the people left in the house. Corey Brooks gave a very succinct speech and then it was time for the houseguests to vote. Michelle Meyer went first, voting to evict Paulie. Paul Abrahamian, James Huling, Natalie Negrotti, and Nicole Franzel then each voted (in order) to evict Paulie as well. By a unanimous vote of 5-0, Paulie Calafiore was evicted from the BB18 house.
During his one-on-one meeting with host Julie Chen, his mystery envelope was opened. Paulie did not have a Return Ticket, bringing his time in the game to an end. Paulie will now spend the rest of summer 2016 in the BB18 jury house, awaiting the time when he gets to help select the winner of the $500,000 prize. Julie Chen announced that the tickets have all expired now, letting all the houseguests then open their tickets. It was revealed that Paul Abrahamian had the ticket all along.
The August 18 episode came to a close with no new HOH, but that doesn’t mean that more Big Brother 18 spoilers won’t be rolling out over the next 24 hours. Fans should expect a lot of additional news to come out of the BB18 house, including what happens leading up to the special Friday episode on CBS.

Julie Chen did drop some new information for fans, though, as it was announced that there will indeed be a BB18 jury competition coming up. Once there are five members of the BB18 jury, they will compete for a chance to re-enter the game. This dictates that there will also be another double eviction late on in the season.
That brings an end to the August 18 Big Brother 18 recap, with an expectation that the latest HOH competition is already underway. The live feeds have been turned off, so the latest HOH winner could be revealed later in the evening.
