Girls actress, Jemima Kirke, was reportedly kicked off the set of Jay Z’s new video for his latest single, “Picasso Baby,” according to the New York Daily News.

The performance piece for his new song features a hoard of celebrities and artists, each of whom were personally invited to appear in the audience for the video. This included Marina Abramovic and Alan Cumming, who sat on a bench whilst the hip-hop star rapped around them for seven hours.

Kirke, who was also asked to attend the shoot, can be seen n the video, where she miles and then lets her hair down whilst she is rapped to by the New York icon. Later on in the clip you can then see the Girls star hug the rapper, clutching her arms around his belly in a bear like grip.

A source, who attended the shoot at Pace Gallery, told the paper, “She was actually nuts! She kept jumping on his back like a little monkey. Someone was screaming ‘get her off him’.”

The insider then went on to add that Kirke was then pulled off the actress, before she was lead away whilst kicking and screaming, asking those involved to “let us finish.” They confirmed that Jay Z remained the consummate professional throughout the ordeal, and simply “kept rapping the whole time.”

The film’s director, Mark Romanek, has quashed these rumours though, Tweeting that Kirke didn’t go nuts on set. He wrote:

In 2010, Kirke, who is an artist herself, reportedly broke down in tears during Marina Abramovic’s, The Artist Is Present, exhibition at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, which saw her sit still for over 700 hours and stare at visitors.
