Nicole Franzel reunited with Corey Brooks for a whirlwind weekend, and their reunion video makes it pretty clear that their relationship wasn’t just a showmance. Franzel, who won the $500,000 Big Brother 18 grand prize, sat down with her reality TV ride or die for a Periscope Q&A with fans and answered questions about their Big Brother showmance and their reunion weekend.

Nicole talked about meeting up with Corey in his Dallas hometown, and she joked that his friends are way cooler than him. Franzel revealed that they went to the state fair and ate fried turkey legs, fried peanut butter and jelly, and fried funnel cake, but she got sick from all of the grease.

Franzel also addressed haters who think Brooks is only using her for her money. Nicole said she hates that people only think he only wants her for her money, and she explained that Corey literally took her credit card and wouldn’t let her pay for anything all weekend. Franzel also confirmed that Brooks didn’t get a cut of her Big Brother winnings.
Nicole Franzel revealed that she didn’t even take her Big Brother check to the bank for 10 days. She isn’t sure what she will do with her windfall, and for now, she is just reading a book about investing.

Franzel said she’s going to take a little time off from her nursing career, but she does plan to go back to work as a nurse. As for other money-making opportunities, Brooks thinks they would both kick butt on The Amazing Race , so maybe fans will get the chance to see this dynamic duo team up for reality TV again sometime in the future.
Nicole also revealed that she will host her Big Brother beau in Michigan later this year, and she plans to have an “ugly sweater” Christmas party when he comes to her hometown. Franzel added that she also plans to book a vacation in Mexico for her and Brooks over the Christmas holidays.

Nicole and Corey will also meet up with fellow BB18 couple Paulie Calafiore and Zakiyah Everette for a meet-and-greet event in Canada later this month. In addition, Franzel and her Big Brother boyfriend will head to L.A. for castmate Paul Abrahamian’s Halloween party. Nicole revealed that Corey won the decision for their couple’s costume, so they plan to dress up as Squints and Wendy Peppercorn from the 1993 movie The Sandlot .

Both Nicole and Corey have said they weren’t looking for a showmance when they signed on to Big Brother 18 , but it seems like they are both hoping to continue their relationship despite the fact that they live so far away from each other. Brooks previously told Entertainment Weekly that he wanted to continue a relationship with Nicole Franzel in the real world — even if it’s just friendship.
“I have never known Nicole outside of the [ Big Brother ] house and she lives on the other side of the country. If it is something we want to be serious about, things need to progress with our friendship outside of the house,” Corey said shortly after his eviction from the CBS reality show.

Big Brother host Julie Chen downplayed Corey and Nicole’s romantic connection when she was ranking the Season 18 showmances, saying Brooks looks at Franzel like she’s his kid sister and that he “adores her, but not in a romantic way.” Other BB18 cast members predicted heartbreak for Nicole, but they might want to rethink their opinion of Nicorey because this couple’s real life connection looks like the real deal and not just made-for-TV.
