Lea Michele has been having a rough time in the wake of Cory Monteith’s death and she could use all the support she can get. Thankfully, Michele is currently surrounded by her friends and family on the set of Glee.
The young singer returned to the set earlier this week to start work on season five.
Michele wrote on Twitter today that it “feels good to be home.”
The singer also said that she recorded a “beautiful & perfect” song to start season 5. Michele didn’t say what she sang but it most likely dealt with Cory Monteith’s death. Marie Claire reports that the fifth season of Glee will include a tribute episode to the late star.
Creator Ryan Murphy said that the tribute episode would be the third episode of the season and will deal directly with the issues surrounding Monteith’s death. Michele didn’t say what song she recorded but the “beautiful & perfect” song must have been very emotional for her.
The singer writes on Twitter: “Thank you @ alxanders & @ AdamAnders for a great recording session today.. You guys are the best”
Lea Michele also posted the first photo of Rachel Berry from the 5th season of Glee.
Are you surprised that Lea Michele returned to Glee so quickly after Cory Monteith’s death? The singer obviously feels like she has a support group within the Glee cast but it has to be hard dealing with a personal issue in front of the camera.
Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart. pic.twitter.com/XVlZnh9vOc
