It took a while, but the mug shot taken during Christina Aguilera’s arrest for public intoxication finally made it into the hands of E!

Cops stated yesterday the singer wouldn’t formally be charged and although the incident would go “on her record,” no other consequences would result as she had only been taken into custody for her “own safety.” But E! says:

L.A. Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said that Aguilera’s picture is not going to be released to the public because authorities do not plan to press charges…but sometimes a camera is just in the right place at the right time.

While this certainly won’t go down in the annals of scary mug-shot history, it’s definitely not one of Aguilera’s better looks.

The celebrity news network was sympathetic to the troubled-as-of-late pop star, adding that police say Aguilera was “‘cooperative’ and ‘not belligerent in any way whatsoever'” when she was in their care.
