Justin Bieber Releasing Two Singles Next: ‘Hold Tight,’ ‘Wait For A Minute’

Justin Bieber is releasing two singles next week. “Hold Tight” will premiere via the Music Mondays campaign, while “Wait For A Minute” featuring Young Money rapper Tyga drops on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old announced the news on Twitter yesterday along with the artwork for both songs.

Like previous Journals’ singles, “Hold Tight” used purple and white colors but with rectangle graphics. In contrast, the “Wait For A Minute” cover features a baroque, gold plume on white with the title in Gothic lettering and a parental advisory note.

Since launching on Oct. 7, Bieber’s campaign — in which the teen releases new music exclusively to iTunes every Monday for 10 weeks — has been a massive success. First single “Heartbreaker” soared to No. 1 in nearly 70 countries, with the second “All That Matters” hitting the top spot in 58 territories.

In addition, “Heartbreaker” currently sits at #13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart after rocketing 22 positions as the chart’s top digital gainer since its (Oct. 6) release.

This week, the “All That Matters” single was boosted by a leaked video starring Bieber and filmed at the Great Wall of China during the Asia leg of his Believe tour. Initially hosted at the World Star Hip Hop site, the Canadian has now uploaded it to his “Kidrauhl” YouTube account.

“Hold Tight” was written (possibly co-written with Justin) by Jason ‘Pooh Bear’ Boyd and produced by The Audibles. Described by manager Scooter Braun as “baby making music,” it seems another relationship-themed song is on its way.

After teases earlier this year, a longer version of “Wait For A Minute” appeared on Believe tour DJ Tay James’ “WeKnowTheDJ Radio Vol. 3” mixtape back in September before it was later uploaded to Tyga’s official YouTube. The rapper has confirmed a fuller version of the track will be released to iTunes on Tuesday.

More than a few commentators praised the R&B-rap hybrid — which featured matured vocals from Bieber and Tyga’s deadpan delivery — when the track surfaced last month.

Alongside Justin’s new music drive, the Christmas Day debut of his forthcoming concert documentary movie Believe has recently been announced. Following a brief break, the singer returns to the road with a show in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, October 19.
