Are Gillian Anderson And David Duchovny Dating?
X-Files co-stars Mulder and Scully, known in real life as Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, may be dating. And that’s according to them!
Usually such rumors of co-stars getting together for real are baseless and centered around speculation. But after Anderson and Duchovny headed an event called “The Truth Is Here” at the Paley Center in New York to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The X-files, the suggestion that they are dating in real life is not that absurd.
At the event Gillian Anderson and co-star Duchovny conducted a questions and answers session via Reddit for their fans. Much of the talk was about the rumors of an upcoming new movie, The X-Files 3, which both Mulder and Scully seem very excited about:
“I think Chris is working on a script. Chris is shooting a pilot right now, so he might not be working on a script, but he claims to be working on a script, and if he does do that and Fox wants to make it… Gillian will do it, I will do it, so start your writing campaign now. Seriously. We’d all love to do it. The ball is in Fox’s hands. And not Fox Mulder, Fox the studio,” said Duchovny.
The message for the event to fans was: “Come hang with us for the next two hours during our Ask Us (almost) Anything Reddit!” which is exactly what they did.
Along with the slightly steamy photo posted of the pair on a bed was the caption: “Thank you so much for coming by to ask us questions. We know it’s early. See you next time. We’re going to take a proof photo since so many of you have asked for it. Photo Proof!” Adding to the rumors they are dating.
In one of the questions Duchovny was asked if he thought Anderson was “hot” he replied: “Yes. Gillian is every bit as hot, and hotter. It’s somewhat shocking.” Furthermore a source spotted the couple on their too and from the Paley Center event where they arrived and left, allegedly, holding hands.
