‘Once Upon A Time’ Co-Stars Ginnifer Goodwin And Josh Dallas Engaged
Once Upon a Time co-stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are engaged.
The couple said in a statement, “We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at Once Upon a Time.”
Dallas proposed to Goodwin in Los Angeles Wednesday. The couple met on the set of the ABC series, which premiered October 23, 2011, and went public with their relationship in April 2012.
“It hit me like a blinding light,” Dallas said of falling for Goodwin. “I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.'”
This will be the second marriage for 31-year-old Josh Dallas. He married True Blood actress Lara Pulver in 2007 after dating for four years. Dallas confirmed their divorce in an interview on December 2, 2011.
Ginnifer Goodwin was previously engaged to Cabin Fever actor Joey Kern. The couple began dating in April 2009, and announced their engagement December 24, 2010. They announced their breakup on May 20, 2011.
The third season of Once Upon a Time premiered September 29, drawing 8.52 million viewers and earning a 2.6 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic. It was reported in February that the series could get a spinoff based on the Mad Hatter. The character is played by Sebastian Stan, who was finishing a Broadway run at the time and was set to reprise his role as Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
In March, the spinoff cast Australian actress Sophie Lowe as Alice. Renamed, Once: Wonderland(and finally, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland), the spinoff is set in Victorian London and follows Alice as she is caught between her love for the genie Cyrus (Peter Gadiot) and The Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha).
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premiered Thursday, October 10, and drew 5.74 million viewers with a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demo. Wonderland faced stiff competition from The Big Bang Theory and The X Factor, which drew 17.19 million and 6.29 million viewers, respectively.
So far, no date is set for Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas’ wedding, but we can only hope it will be fairy tale themed!
