Grand Theft Auto 6 Confirmed, Rockstar Working On Ideas

It has not even been two weeks since Grand Theft Auto 5 was released but apparently Grand Theft Auto 6, and many other future GTA games are already being talked about.

Rockstar Games has yet to confirm what will make Grand Theft Auto 6 different from the current title but it does have some ideas, according to Rockstar president Leslie Benzies:

We’ve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do…We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas.

We do know that Grand Theft Auto 5 was already in the making by the time that Rockstar released GTA 4 which means that it is reasonable to suggest that GTA 6 is already in the works as well.

That being said, Rockstar is putting a lot of time and effort into developing Grand Theft Auto Online which may keep the company busy for much longer than it normally would be. “GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain’t no rest between finishing V and then Online.” said Benzies.

There appears to be some DLC coming down the pipeline as well, “Plus we have some other things – stuff, DLC, I don’t know how to describe it exactly – that we’d like to do, and we’ll pick the right ones.”

Considering how “open” the Grand Theft Auto series and genre is, there are a million different ways that Rockstar Games could take Grand Theft Auto 6. To even speculate as to how GTA 6 will be different from GTA 5 is a little silly, but at least we know that the game will almost definitely be coming at some point.

It will be interesting to see what Grand Theft Auto 6 can do on the new consoles considering that GTA 5 is still limited by the Xbox 360 and PS3’s hardware. Without a doubt, GTA 6 will blow us away, that is almost a guarantee.
