C.J. Spiller Injury: Running Back To Be Game-Time Decision For Bills
C.J. Spiller will be a game-time decision for the Buffalo Bills as they face off their against Lake Erie foe on Thursday night.
Spiller hurt his ankle in the Bills 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Thoug he was able to return to action after suffering the injury, he was limping an in obvious pain on the sidelines.
With a short week and a game Thursday night against the Browns, Spiller’s status remains uncertain and he will reportedly be a game-time decision.
C.J. Spiller said he aims to play, but the short week has put a crimp in his plans to return.
“If it was a Sunday game, I would definitely say I would be out there. But like I said I am going to do everything I can to position myself to be out there,” Spiller said. ” If I can get my self to 80 to 85 percent, I think that will be good enough for me to play.”
Fellow running back Fred Jackson was also hurt against the Ravens, but he appears almost certain to play against the Browns.
“I feel exactly about what I thought I would feel, a little sore, doing a lot of treatments. I have already been twice to the training room today to get ready,” Jackson said. “But barring any major setbacks I will be able to play on Thursday.”
If they end up without the services of either running back, the Bills will likely give some carries to third-stringer Tashard Choice, who would find himself in a familiar situation. Last year he was forced into action against Cleveland when both Jackson and C.J. Spiller were hurt, ending the game with 92 yards and helping lead the Bills to a victory.
