Michael Jackson Verdict: Dr. Conrad Murray Relieved, Fans Enraged

The Michael Jackson verdict has Dr. Conrad Murray relieved that justice has been found, though the fans are furious.

It was earlier believed in a trial that lasted five months that Dr. Conrad Murray had been hired by concert promoter AEG Live when he had given Michael Jackson a drug which eventually killed him. The fact appears to be, in the jury’s eyes, that AEG Live had denied hiring the doctor in the first place, which was a crucial factor in the case.

Had they admitted to hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to begin with, five months of trail time could have been averted, and now that it’s been brought to light, the doctor charged with killing Michael Jackson feels relieved.

Another major factor that was finally set straight was the question of Dr. Conrad Murray’s competence. In the end it was decided that the doctor was competent after all, but that hasn’t gotten him off the hook for his role in the Michael Jackson verdict.

AEG Live continues to deny that they hired Dr. Conrad Murray, but that denial has been deemed irrelevant.

During an interview on NBC’s Today, Dr. Conrad Murray explained his reaction to the eventual reveal of the truth:

“I cried because, for once, the world was allowed to hear some of the facts at they pertain to this matter – a lot of facts that have been suppressed, much of which I was denied and my attorneys could not present during my criminal trial.”

Michael Jackson‘s fans, however, were angry over the verdict which meant no monetary rewards going toward the Jackson family for medical incompetence.

Barbara L’Orme, 42, stated her disbelief over the Michael Jackson verdict, “My heart is broken. This was the greatest artist that we ever had, and they treated him like this. The evidence was right there.”

Juror Kevin Smith, 61, said he voted against the pop star’s mother and children, even though he loves Michael Jackson’s work. He said that if Michael Jackson thought Dr. Conrad Murray was competent, and he was college accredited, that was all the proof he needed.

Dr. Conrad Murray is relieved, though the fans are furious, at the Michael Jackson verdict reached on Wednesday.
